Toddlers & Kids
“Turtle Tots” at Tiva Kids Camp (Skully’s-North Pointe) - Parents and toddlers learn and create together with project-themed crafts guided by our creative Recreation staff. For ages 12 months - four years. Parents must accompany children to this activity.

Tiva Kids Camp (Skully’s-North Pointe) - This nationally recognized program is offered daily–morning, afternoon or full day sessions. Parents can feel free to leave their kids in the safety of the professional counselors for one or all of the sessions. Each day is themed offering opportunities for both fun and learning as campers traverse the resort village. Books, arts & crafts and games are available any time for families to share. Children ages 4-11 are welcome. Toddlers must be bathroom independent.

“Creative Corner” at Tiva Kids Camp (Skully’s-North Pointe) - All ages are welcome to participate. Check out the craft cart to create a different masterpiece every day, paint coconuts, sand dollars and decorate picture frames with Captiva shells. Cost varies by project.

“Swimtastic” Swim School & Mermaid Camp (North Pointe) - With their motto “Smart Fish Swim in Schools,” Swimtastic’s foundation is built on a love of children and respect for the water. Experience peace of mind as toddlers and kids participate in Swimtastic’s mermaid camp (ages 7-13) or the more traditional “Learn to Swim” program (ages 6 months and older) with Swimtastic Swim School’s loving and professional teaching staff.

Go! Sail (North Pointe) - Kids get their sea legs in a three hour session of sailing after which they are awarded a “Junior Captain” certificate from the Offshore Sailing School. Learn how to sail on 10’ dinghies in the Yacht Harbour Marina including time spent sailing in the Gulf of Mexico. Morning and afternoon sessions include practical skill-building and boating safety programs.

“Kid’s Night Out” at Tiva Kids Camp (North Pointe) - This night out for kids is supervised by seasoned recreation professionals. Games, crafts and fun abound. For kids ages 4-11. Toddlers must be bathroom independent. Dinner included.
‘Tweens & Teens
Skully’s Arcade (North Pointe) - The arcade is located within Skully’s Family Interactive Center. This pirate-themed arcade features a wide variety of token-operated machines for the young and young at heart. In addition, the arcade offers virtual reality games including skateboarding, jet skiing, motorcycles, Madden Football, air hockey and more. Children under 12 years old should be accompanied by an adult 16 years of age or older.

Go! Sail (North Pointe) - A three hour session of sailing after which ‘tweens and teens are awarded a “Junior Captain” certificate from the Offshore Sailing School. Learn how to sail on 10’ dinghies in the Yacht Harbour Marina including time spent sailing in the Gulf of Mexico. Morning and afternoon sessions include practical skill-building and boating safety programs.

Teen Kayak Tours (North Pointe) - For ages 13-19, special ‘tween and teen kayak tours to Bryant’s Bayou. Enjoy the sights and sounds above, beside and below the kayak paddling through calm waters while learning about the natural wildlife on Captiva. Most tours limited to number of participants. Please consult the South Seas’ Monthly Activities Calendar for dates/times.

Teen Parasailing (North Pointe) - Swing your legs as you glide above the Gulf of Mexico enjoying the fresh sea air. Look down and you’re sure to spot dolphins playing in the surf. Wave to your friends and family way down below on the beach. Try single, tandem or triple-seating parasailing trips with the Holiday Water Sports professionals ensuring both safety and fun.

Tennis Clinics (South Village) - For ages 12 and over. Taught by South Seas’ tennis pros, young tennis enthusiasts test their skills on the hard courts located in a natural environment, surrounded by vibrant foliage. Develop accomplished technique and intensive strategy while making new friends. Ages 12 and over. Complimentary rackets provided.

Family Activities
Skully's Family Interactive Center (North Pointe) - Home to Turtle Tots Territory, Tiva Kids Camp, and Skully’s Arcade, Skully’s is THE spot for big fun that the entire family can enjoy. Tiva Kids Camp provides hands-on art projects and games under loving guidance from the recreation staff. Turtle Tots Territory is a place for little hands to get creative with crafts. The arcade offers a variety of video arcade games including pinball, air hockey, racing and much more.

Captiva Cruises Family Excursions (North Pointe at Yacht Harbour Marina) - Make unforgettable family memories by booking a cruise. Cruises available include Dolphin & Wildlife Adventure, Island Beach & Shelling and Sunset. Private cruise expeditions or custom sailing tours are available.
- Daily, times vary; Extension 3329; Yacht Harbour Marina in North Pointe and McCarthy’s Marina on Andy Rosse Lane in Captiva.
Family Golf at the Captiva Course (North Pointe) - This gulf-front short-course, designed by Chip Powell, is one of the Top Five Short Courses in the World and encourages family play. Experience magnificent Gulf views from each of the nine holes. Players of all abilities are welcome. Tee times are preferred. Note that seasonal course closings occur for maintenance.
Family-Guided Fishing Excursions (South Village & North Pointe) - The peaceful waters of the Gulf of Mexico are alive with an abundance of aquatic life. Aboard a guided charter vessel, experience the waters of Captiva in pursuit of Tarpon, Grouper, Snapper, Trout, Redfish and Snook. Charters leave both the Yacht Harbour Marina and Bayside Marina.
Fishing: Surf Casting & Shore Casting - Guests are welcome to fish from anywhere on property. Any child under the age of 16 does not need a license. Guests 16 and older must obtain a fishing license that can be purchased online at www.Myfwc.com. Frozen bait is available for purchase from Ship’s Store and live bait from the Harbourmaster’s office in Yacht Harbour Marina.

Go! Fish (North Pointe) - All ages are welcome to participate in the Go! FISH program right off the T-Dock which encourages the teaching of “catch and release.” Participants are nearly guaranteed to catch one of the many types of fish found around the resort village in the Gulf waters including Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Grouper, Snapper, Cobia, Spotted Sea Trout and more. - Meet at South Seas Island Outfitters and Resort Logo Shop at Marina Walk
Manatee Park (North Pointe) - Located at the south end of Marina Walk and opening in the Spring of 2010, this park features team sports including volleyball, badminton, bocce ball, basketball and more. There are friendly competitions scheduled regularly by the recreation staff. The park is named after South Seas’ resident gentle manatees who visit the warm harbour waters at the park’s edge.
Marina Walk (North Pointe-Between Manatee Park and Skully’s) - Adjacent to Yacht Harbour Marina, this “village center” is the family-friendly hub of activity featuring periodic live music, movies on the green and special events.

OffShore Sailing School (North Pointe) - America’s #1 Sailing School has operated at South Seas since 1975 and offers short courses and certification programs. The flagship of the Colgate Sailing Schools, OSS provides sailing courses certified by US Sailing, from day sailing to ocean racing. Note there is a maximum of four students per sailboat instructor.

Self-Guided Boat Excursions (South Village) - Located at Bayside Marina, Best Boat Rentals has pontoon boats and center console boats available for daily rental. Picnic baskets for outings can be arranged through Best Boat Rentals.

Tennis at the John Williams International Tennis Academy (South Village) - Join John Williams and his staff for daily clinics, personal instruction and periodic round robins. Clinics geared towards teens and juniors are conducted on a daily basis.
Water Sports (North Pointe) - Holiday Water Sports (HWS) offers personal watercraft rentals, hydro-cycles and sailing. Please call HWS for additional program offerings.
