As one of the country’s premier family and special event destinations,
South Seas Island Resort retains the intrinsic significance of its storied past. This iconic setting allows you to experience native Florida in all its wondrous beauty, while relaxing in one of Parents Magazine’s Top 10 Beach Resorts for families. What makes this resort village so endearing bears comment as it is a story that includes a tale of two cities: South Village and North Pointe.
South Village is home to the spa, fitness center, an array of boutiques, 2 Islands Art Gallery and eateries in Chadwick’s Square. Adjacent to Bayside Marina, South Village is also home to Best Boat Rentals where golf carts, bicycles and boats are available for rent during your stay. Amidst the royal palms and night blooming jasmine is the conference center, business center, main ballroom and tennis complex.
North Pointe is home to the resort pool complex including H2Whoa!, water sports, outdoor activities, kids, ‘tweens and teens programs, the Nature Center, Yacht Harbor Marina,the beachfront executive golf course, and restaurants.
Below is a list of features which will help you navigate the Resort Village during your stay. We ask that you please pay attention to the following important information designed to make your stay even more enjoyable.
- KEY CARDS/RESORT IDENTIFICATION - Each resort guest over the age of six must carry their key card to access the trolleys and Resort Pool Complex. To gain entry to either, each guest is asked to present their key card before entry will be authorized. Should a key card become deactivated, the North Pointe concierge located at the Yacht Harbor Marina or reception in South Village will be happy to issue a new key.
- HOUSEKEEPING - As part of the green program, South Seas offers daily “Residential Cleaning Service” which includes:
- Trash Removal
- Making of Beds
- Loading and Starting Dishwasher
- Replenishment of Depleted Amenities
Every fourth day of your stay, you will receive “Full Residential Cleaning Service” which includes:
- Trash Removal
- Changing of Bed Linens and Towels
- Loading and Starting Dishwasher
- Replenishment of Depleted Amenities
- Bathroom Cleaning
- Floor Cleaning
- RECYCLING & SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES—Most residences participate in the Resort Village’s recycling program.
Recycling centers for those residences that do not contain bins are designated on the resort map. Guests
are respectfully requested to turn off lights and keep thermostats at reasonable levels in an effort to reduce energy
consumption. South Seas Island Resort’s motto is: “GREEN Doesn’t Take a Vacation.”
- RESIDENTIAL & CONDOMINIUM POOLS—Most residential/condominium swimming pools are maintained by third party companies. There is no towel service or continuous housekeeping at these pools. Guests are encouraged to enjoy these pools but are asked to recognize the limited service.
- THE RESIDENCES—All condominiums, villas, cottages and homes participating in the rental program are wholly owned by individuals therefore décor may vary from unit to unit. Minimum standards must be maintained to continue participation in the rental program. Common areas are maintained by the association’s management company. Should any area need attention, please call Guest Services by dialing 0.
- THE “TRUE RESIDENTS”—All wildlife residing on the island and in the waters is to be observed and enjoyed but never touched.
- TRANSPORTATION WITHIN THE RESORT VILLAGE—Guests are encouraged to traverse the village using the complimentary trolleys, rented bicycles or rented golf carts. The trolleys run on set schedules between the hours of 7:00am and 11:00pm. Bicycles and golf carts can be rented from Best Boat Rentals (South Village). Guests are asked to sign waivers upon check-in for both bicycle rentals and golf cart rentals.
Families
Child-proofing the residences and hotel rooms—If South Seas did not receive a request to child-proof a guest’s residence or room (e.g. electric plug covers, corner guards, stair gates, bathtub rings, bathtub spout covers), please call housekeeping to make these arrangements. South Village extension: 3309. North Pointe extension: 3336.
BICYCLE SAFETY—Please obey all guidelines provided when renting a bicycle. Florida law states that children under the age of 16 must wear a bicycle helmet when riding a bicycle.
GOLF CARTS—Pursuant to the agreement, only those with a valid license can drive carts.
H2WHOA!—The latest addition to the Resort Pool Complex, this pool boasts two water slides jetting from H2Whoa!’s tower. Please note: children must be 40” or taller in order to ride slides. No exceptions.

LARGE-PARTY DINING—For parties exceeding eight people, please make a reservation to ensure seating availability.
PORTABLE CRIBS, HIGH CHAIRS AND PAK-N-PLAYS—If arrangements for these items were not made prior to arrival, please call Guests Services by dialing 0 for delivery.
“SWIMMIES”—These items are required for infants still in diapers. The pool staff will strictly enforce this due to Florida statutes.
Yacht Harbour & Bayside Marina Guests
Yacht Harbour Marina - Located in North Pointe. Featuring 2,400’ of alongside berthing for boats up to 120’. There is a daily fee charged to Marina guests. Amenities include:
- VHF Channel 16 which is available from 8:00am to 4:30pm daily
- Electricity service includes 30 amp 110; 50 amp 230; 100 amp single phase
- Cable television and freshwater hook-ups
- Ethanol-free gasoline and diesel fuel available
- Showers and laundry facilities are located adjacent to the Ship’s Store

BAYSIDE MARINA—Located in South Village. This marina is not attended by Yacht Harbour staff therefore the boat ramp is locked. Use of Bayside Marina for launch is requested to be made in advance with the Harbourmaster. Please wait until the marina staff can travel from the Yacht Harbour Marina to provide assistance. There is a daily fee charge for launch, trailer storage or overnight guests. Amenities include:
- Dockage for boats 25’ and under
- Repairs or Inquiries – Please direct any issues to the Harbormaster located in the Yacht Harbour Marina in North Pointe.
- Trailer Boat Launch – Only possible at Bayside Marina

Meetings & Corporate Guests
The Business Center - Available 24 hours daily located in reception in the South Village.
IT SUPPORT - Available on a limited basis for an hourly fee. The Guest Services Department can assist with facilitating support.
PAK-N-SHIP - Located in the conference center in South Village. Extension: 7644
WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS - Available throughout the Resort Village with only a few areas of limited connectivity. The wireless network is supported by Wayport therefore a code is necessary to activate the connection. When guests access the internet browser, the Wayport homepage should come up requesting a code. The code was included with information upon check-in.
