South Seas Offers Fun and Engaging Group Activities
Beach Olympics competition is an extraordinary experience that motivates, challenges, and brings your group together in a way they have never shared time before. Team participation and fun are the emphasis of this event and not individual play or skill. The playing area for the memorable challenges will be on the pristine beaches overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Beach Olympics is staffed with referees who provide challenge instructions, timekeeping, scorekeeping, and awards ceremony.
South Seas Regatta
Crews will design and build a corrugated cardboard boat capable of racing the designated course. Crews will have to use teamwork and creativity because there is a limited amount of supplies. Crews will have a certain amount of time to build, decorate, and name their boat. Crews will decide on a captain to race across the Resort Complex pool or in the Gulf of Mexico. Teamwork is key for this challenge and with great imagination, the high seas awaits.
Photo Hunts: Object is for each team to photograph a list of items. It serves as a great team building adventure and a great way to discover everything there is to see and do at South Seas. Should your team go for the difficult shots or give up a shot to be the first team back?
Nature Hunts: Groups must search the resort property to find as many items on a list as they can within a given amount of time. This hunt will be exploring the property with learning about the wildlife here on Captiva Island.
Treasure Hunts: The dreaded Pirate Jose Gaspar’s long lost treasure map has been found and now it’s up to your group to decipher the clues that will lead you to his buried treasure. The team to solve all the clues and get to the chest first will be able to keep the loot.
Captiva Quest: The ultimate team building adventure event. The event forces groups to work together physically and mentally. There are many puzzles and challenges to be done to receive clues. First team to solve all the clues and make it back to the designated ending location wins.
Base Fee for Team Building Events $45 per person +22% service charge.
Bryant Bayou Kayak Tour is great for the novice kayaker. The tour will instruct you on the proper procedures from getting into the kayak to finer points of rowing and maneuvering. The tour is narrated through Bryant Bayou with is surrounded by mangroves and our local wildlife.
$35 per person + 22% service charge. Tour Length: 45minutes – 1 hour
Chadwick’s Bayou Kayak Tour takes you on the bayside edge of the barrier island, across sea grass beds, sandbars, and mangrove fridge created long ago by wind and wave. This tour will explore the open waters of Pine Island Sound exploring aquatic zones and discovering numerous inhabitants.
$40 per person + 22% service charge. Tour Length: 1 hour – 1 ½ hour
Kayaking Expedition to North Captiva will take your group across Redfish Pass and explore the wilderness area of North Captiva by kayak and by foot. Portion of the tour will be spent shelling on the beaches of North Captiva along with going over the history of this natural area.
$55 per person + 22% service charge. Tour Length: 2 hours 30 minutes
