Ambu Yoga

Ambu Yoga symbolizes the connection between the energy flow of the water and the mind-body-spirit experience of yoga; Ambu means "water" and yoga means "to yoke" or "union" in the ancient yogic language of Sanskrit. We offer outdoor yoga classes and private sessions that empower individuals and build physical strength and emotional balance. Ambu Yoga believes in the transformational benefits of yoga and has a deep respect for nature.

Instructor Yali Zawady enjoys exploring the world and seeking adventure while searching for inner and outer peace through yoga, meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises) and healthy eating. She shares her passion for yoga by making classes interesting, fun, and easily accessible to people of all experience levels and backgrounds

Join Yali on Mondays for 'Yoga on the Lawn' at King's Crown Lawn, North Pointe, for the perfect opportunity for Ambu Yoga to live its purpose; to connect people with their mind, body and spirit through a fulfilling physical yoga practice in the serene beauty of nature. Backup space is provided for inclement weather.

Allow your body to unfold, coming from stillness and gentle awareness, into a transition of movements that will invigorate you inside and out. This class is held at Ambu Yoga studio. All levels welcome!

STRONG VINYASA - ALL LEVELS

TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS NOON -1PM | WEDNESDAYS 4-5PM

Move with a flow that allows you to add some spice into your vigorous practice. Core work, arm balances,

and strength-building poses are all integral components of this class. Modifications offered. This class is held at Ambu Yoga studio.

GENTLE YOGA

TUESDAYS 5:45-6:45PM

Experience ease with soft movement and deep stretches. Great to complement your daily physical

activity, whether that is golfing, tennis, running or an intense yoga practice. This class is held at Ambu Yoga studio.

YIN RESTORE

FRIDAYS 10:30-11:45AM

Restore your body and calm your mind in a meditative experience. Props are used for support, while you hold long relaxing poses. Enjoy the benefits of this healing practice.

BASIC YOGA

THURSDAYS 5:45PM -6:45PM

Take the time to experience basic poses and its modifications in your body. We'll focus on alignment and awareness of your breath. Great class for beginners.

GUIDED MEDITATION TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 7:30-8AM

Practice mindfulness while taking a relaxing journey to help you calm your mind. Let go of busyness, and give yourself the gift of silence. Mixed techniques. $10 PP

Captiva Tri

A Weekend of Fun and Fitness

The 2015 Galloway Captiva Tri is September 12 and 13.  This sprint triathlon is a great family event, with participants ranging from 6 years old to over 70, and all skill levels.  This event will sell out, so make sure to visit CaptivaTri.org to register as soon as possible.  

  • The kids race is on September 12 and the adults race is on September 13.
  • Open to the public
  • A portion of the proceeds benefit local charities, including the Community Cooperative, a non-profit organization dedicated to feeding and supportin the Southwest Florida Community
