As Parents magazine's “Top 10 Beach Resorts for Families,” South Seas hosts a number of programs for toddlers, kids, ‘tweens, teens and families. Please consult the South Seas Activities calendar for program dates and times. Please contact the Recreation Department at extension 3550 for reservations and for information regarding program costs and age requirements.
TIVA KIDS CAMP AT SKULLY’S
Feel comfortable while your children participate in this nationally recognized program overseen by our loving Recreation staff. The staff provides hands-on instruction for creative arts and crafts projects, and fun activities including parachute games, scavenger hunts, sack races, kick ball and more.
TURTLE TOTS AT TIVA KIDS CAMP
For ages 12 months to 4 years old, this program is designed to be shared by parents and children together to create joint crafts and gifts or simply enjoy story time with one another.
CREATIVE CORNER AT TIVA KIDS CAMP
Designed to let imaginations run wild, this is a program for all ages. We ready all supplies needed to create souvenirs and gifts such as picture-frames, tie dye t-shirts, island-related art and more.
GO! FISH
South Seas’ catch & release program taught by our Harbourmaster. Go! FISH teaches children to respect the waters and creatures that live within it. Cast your line from the T-Dock and we can almost guarantee a catch off Pine Island Sound. Go! FISH t-shirts are given to participants.
GO! SAIL
Offshore Sailing School is America’s #1 sailing school and leading our Go! SAIL program. Go! SAIL is a three hour session for kids to learn to sail with seasoned professionals. Boats are sailed in the Yacht Harbour Marina and in Pine Island Sound. Each participant is awarded a “Junior Captains” certificate from the Offshore Sailing School upon session completion.
MARINA WALK
Outdoor Movies, ‘Smores and FireWater The place to be once the sun sets. Marina Walk is located adjacent to the Yacht Harbour Marina from Manatee Park to Skully's . Watch family-friendly films on the outdoor screen, roast ‘smores in one of the open fire pits, and enjoy treats from the Scoops & Slices cart. For more adult activities, check out the south side of Harbourside Bar & Grill where the outdoor lounge FireWater serves signature cocktails.
SKULLY’S ARCADE & ‘TWEEN/TEEN LOUNGE
Skully’s is the night spot for “Kids Night Out” and “’Tweens & Teens” game nights. Play dozens of arcade games, enjoy the DJ and dance floor, or just meet new friends and hang at the lounge in this pirate-themed nightspot.
NATURE TOURS & TALKS
For nature enthusiasts and those who want to learn more about the beautiful surroundings at South Seas. Join our on-site naturalist to learn about the island’s sea life and the nearly 200 species of birds in the area.
KAYAK TOURS
An extraordinary opportunity to experience native wildlife in their natural habitat. Specialized tours take you to Bryant’s Bayou, North Captiva and Chadwick’s Bayou. Enjoy the sights and sounds as paddle through calm waters.
