Halloween: Spooks, Treats, and Island Beats

On October 31, the South Seas Recreation Team will host a day filled with family-friendly frights and laughter. The complimentary Bayview Boo Bash (11 AM – 1 PM) kicks things off with a colorful lineup: decorate your own trick-or-treat bag, enjoy face painting and balloon art, and join in on festive games like candy corn bowling, monster can toss, and limbo.
At 1 PM, cheer on your favorite duck in the Doomed Duck Race, followed by poolside bingo at 3 PM and a frightful photo scavenger hunt at 5 PM. Of course, no Halloween is complete without candy. Families can wander the resort for an all-day Trick-or-Treat adventure, with stops at multiple stations to collect sweets and surprises.

Thanksgiving: A Feast Without the Fuss

Trade kitchen stress for sweeping views of the marina and a table set just for you. Harborside restaurant will host a Thanksgiving dinner that feels both traditional and elevated, with a family-style feast designed for gathering in gratitude.
The menu includes carved hickory-smoked turkey breast and turkey leg confit, paired with comforting sides like focaccia and wild rice stuffing, whipped garlic potatoes, green bean and wild mushroom casserole, and sweet potato soufflé. A crisp holiday crunch salad and bright cranberry-orange relish round out the table, while dessert shines with pumpkin cheesecake and bourbon pecan pie.
Each guest is welcomed with a complimentary glass of champagne or cider. Wine specials—including selections from Caymus, Daou, and Veuve Clicquot—make for the perfect toast.
The experience is $75 per adult, $35 for children ages 4–12, and complimentary for children 3 and under.

Adding to the excitement, South Seas will debut Captiva Landing, a family fun area designed as the resort’s new hub for play and relaxation. The space will feature waterslides, fountains, and an interactive water play zone perfect for kids (and kids at heart), as well as a lazy river, poolside cabanas, and a shady pool for those craving a slower pace.
At its heart is the Camp-tiva Kids Club, offering hands-on nature discovery programs that celebrate the island’s ecosystems and wildlife. Indoors, a lively arcade invites friendly competition, while dining on the south side serves up casual favorites and island-inspired snacks.
