Beach & Shelling

More than 400 varieties are found here, from the rare junonia to the sand dollar.
Fishing on Captiva Island
With excellent weather, pristine waters, and over 50 fish species, Captiva and Sanibel islands are world-renowned fishing destinations. For over 75 years, first-time anglers of all ages have caught their first fish on the Bayview Fishing Pier. For those interested in a sporting excursion in search of red snapper, tarpon, or other elusive species, our staff can arrange private offshore fishing charters.
